@Paul9221 didn’t we vote to change that last election cycle? You’re in California, too, right?

Yeah, we had voted and it passed easily. But then it has to be approved at the federal level.  Who knows when that will happen.  We voted in 2018, IIRC.

@Graham i thought you’d be a large in this one. I have an xl in the standard version, and, based on the chart, I’d assumed I’d pick up an xl again.  Now you’re making me think differently!

Looks like Graham took a L in the indigo version

@Wlemon et al, The L in the OD is on the cusp in all aspects of what would work for me. So I had to wear an XL for the photos as I feel that the L would not be an accurate portrayal of what I'd wear. Feel free to drop me a dm or email if anyone wants any advice, I'm always available.

@neph93 you're the reason I picked one of these up.  If you'll recall a few days ago, you told me about these launching in the IHSH-33 thread.  Thanks/no-thanks! 😃

There are pieces that drop that I'm unsure about "Will you actually wear that enough to justify the price?  Will you want to wear that in 10 years?"  A denim work shirt is a slam dunk across the board.  It's a classic shirt.  It's thin enough that it can be worn even when it's warm out.  It's never going to go out of style.  And with most denim pieces, it's only going to look better with age.

Yeah, same here.  Actually, I don't think I've ever worn an IHSH without at least a white undershirt underneath.

@Oroccoco I’m not sure I’d call him a beanpole (he is slim and certainly not short)  but @Peterpiper wears work shirts a lot and they really suit him.

For the record I think the idea that “slim cut” and “tapered” items are for slim people (which means “wide cut” and “relaxed” are for big folks), is a misconception when it comes to IH (and otherwise). It is all about body type and shape, which is a much more complex issue than short/tall, slim/wide. That is why there is size S and M in work shirts, and size XXXXL in westerns. Also loads of “beanpoles” look great in the 634 cut for example, while 777’s can still work on wide bodies with short inseams.

@Oroccoco Go for it. As Neph said I’m tall, 6ft, 80kg~ish. I typically go for a large in IH shirts, apart from this one as it happens. This one I went XL. It’s really a matter of choice, I like the look of Workshirts more. To me they are more versatile..

It's the hem/opening that concerns me - 45" or so on a 35" waist (size large) might be a bit baggy, but yours look great on you Peter. I appreciate that it's a looser cut and different look overall. All about finding the flattering cut though.

Ha, you're not wrong!  That definitely was an unplanned expense but I know that those shirts are going to get tons of use, especially since I live in a somewhat warm climate in which I can't usually throw on a jacket, but I can always throw on a denim shirt.
