Is it too late to order the additional 260 yards? You could still get a mile of denim.
Just on a side note, you English really came up with a ridiculous system of measurement; 3ft to the yard, 1760yds to the mile? This was intended to be as complicated as possible, wasn't it?
Of course, to our detriment, we never bothered to convert to metric here in the States.

To be fair, I should mention that I work with land descriptions in Texas, where we inherited a mixture of archaic measurements. I have to deal with the silly units left over from the Spanish days, too. Anyone here know how long a vara is? How about a chain? Or a labor, though technically that's a measure of area, not length.
