Beatle I think you looked hawt in that picture you posted with the green shirt in Japan was it, sitting next to some bloke?  I'd go for a quiff.  Its bang on fashion and androgenous.  Something like this would suit you beautifully:

Short sides and longer top would work beats, at least then you could do some style or let it fall.

But i think it looks better without the highlights.

that hairdo is ok, short sides and and longer on top. just let it be properly longer and comb yer hair backwards.

I just has a hair stylist have a panic attack while cutting my hair, he made a mistake and couldn't fix it.  He had to go into the back room for a bit to get himself together while one of his colleges made her best attempt to sort out his mistake.  She did a decent job of fixing it but I'm going to have messed up hair for a few weeks
