When people say size one up in bibs, they mean one tag size (2 inches).  They are only made in even tags

I don't think the bibs come in odd sizes, so sizing up for both of us from 34 would be the 36

After what @Joberwocky and @LewisStonehouse have said I reckon the ideal tag size for me would be a 34" waist. Thanks fellas for your insight and experience.

Thanks Alex it's neat because it lets you see what's through the viewfinder on your phone. But the sun was too bright to see what's on the screen. I was experimenting with some longer exposure times. But I haven't had a photography class in like 25 years so I forget just about everything.
