      Batch number 6.  My little tree has yielded 20Kg of fruit so far, and frankly, it looks like I've picked nothing…..

            I love the smells of fall canning and throw in a few loaves of fresh baked bread and I think it is heavenly!!

              When I'm cooking jam, P seems to hang around the kitchen more than normal  ;).  There are certain things that I cook, and I do not use the extractor…..Jam and bread being the main two.  I like the house to be infused....

                I'm absolutely the same when baming anything. Also a good stew. People pay good money for these smells (maybe?)

                            I've been burned too many times by not seasoning to taste.  Old spices, conservative amounts used in recipes, etc.

                            Learned the best way to prepare any dish is to cook to taste (and then add a pinch more  :D).

                                  Actually, no it's not.

                                  We had a dinner party last night and we had a load of unfinished bottles of red, white and sparkling (as is always the way for some reason), so I chucked them in 50:50 with the water…... 🙂 🙂

                                      We also have way too many plums. Yesterday, I made a plum clafoutis - not traditional but a good way to make a small dent in our plums…
