Wow, been posting for a while now and can’t believe I never introduced myself here.
I’m David, live in an East London suburb with my wife and 3 small kids. Work as a statistician and clinical specialist for a pharmaceutical manufacturer specialising in diagnostic devices. Our parent company is one of Japan’s largest pharma companies, and I’m seriously hoping for a paid trip to visit HQ in Kobe.
Got into IH via the usual circuitous route, slowly ratcheting up the amounts I was willing to spend on a pair of jeans. Discovered the wonderful Rivet&Hide while on a lunch break while I was working at Great Ormond St hospital. IH’s aesthetic immediately appealed. Took me a while to take the plunge owing to the price point, but now I’m in I’ll never look back. My collection will always be meagre as it’s hard to justify (to my wife), but I’d rather buy 1 item of IH a year and put my cash into the pockets of people that care about what they do.
Anyways, the forum is an awesome place and I look forward to continuing to contribute and get to know some of you guys

long overdue first post. I am from Hamburg, Germany. Got into denim around 10 years ago (Edwin and Pace Jeans being my first selvedge denims). Discovered Iron Heart and purchased my first item in 2015 (IHV-02 BLK) from Vater&Sohn. Down the rabbit hole from there.

@Twistlock I find this both the blessing and curse of IH. Too many amazing pieces I wasn’t able to score, but the promise of more superb items always round the corner. I always console myself when I miss something I loved that there’s always next season! Anyway, welcome!

I thought it about time I introduced myself. I'm a 53 year old bald bastard from Perth Western Australia.
I found IH by accident really, when I was searching for a decent plaid buffalo shirt and was intrigued and I nearly fell off my chair at the cost LOL Fortunately there were none available in my size. But this first look at IH had me.
I've been pretty immersed in Japanese culture though 20+ years in martial arts and have travelled to Japan numerous times to train, compete and take examinations. During these visits it was very apparent the Japanese seem to always follow the philosophy of pursuit of perfection, especially in craftsmanship.
I used the chat function to suss out what jeans would suit me best, and can say, hand on heart (Iron) that the customer service was outstanding and in 23 years of online shopping I have never felt as comfortable and confident regarding the information that was so forthcoming and treated like a real person, in fact treated like a friend. I have never dropped this sort of coin on demin before. I ordered the size and style recommended IH-666S-21 and they arrived in a week! After being crushed by the fit for a day or so they pressure stretched as I was told and they fit like a glove - perfect.
In the following 3 months I have bought 3 shirts (including the red and black buffalo plaid) and have a leather jacket on order!
The sickness is real

There's quite a few of those here, so you're in good company.
I was doing a Google image search for the terms, "grey and black buffalo plaid western" and that's how I found out about Iron Heart. I didn't even know what selvedge denim was at the time. That shirt was sold out but I got a few others and the rest is history. I have been here ever since.

Thanks @motojobobo - haha yeah a few choice adjectives, but it wasn't a terrible first impression at all. It didn't stop me and the shirt is now mine and totally worth it.

I’m Sean and I live in Springfield, MO (D’OH!) with my wife and two young kids. I’ve been reading the forum for quite a while and thought it was finally time to participate. I found IH while trying to minimize my wardrobe. I was searching for a well made pair of jeans that could take lots of wear and hold up. I love the idea of owning fewer, well made things that deliver value by doing what they were designed to do and lasting a long time. So in that regard, finding IH has been a bit of a double edged sword. IH clothes are incredibly well made and last, but my minimizing has been wrecked because there is so much awesome stuff! My first pair of jeans were the 666S-21L and they are incredible. I’ve added lots of pieces over the past couple of years and look forward to being active on the forum. You all have made it a great place to be!
