I'm having my Citizen fixed (I broke the pin off and can't adjust time or date), and got this to tide me over… 70€ shipped, and it's a lot of fun. It's also weird how I still remembered how to adjust date and hour from way back in the eighties when I wore these kinds of things as a kid...

Edit: yes I'm in €urope but I use the 12 hour system.

This one is a great beater watch that I use a lot when traveling.  So I haven’t really used it much in the past 13 months…  Freemans Sporting Club special edition:

          That Hamilton is gorgeous, @Stuart.T

I've been wearing less of my watches lately and sticking to my smart watch, but I would still love to add a Hamilton to the collection.

Here's my SLA023 on an engineers strap, this thing is burly AF and the finishing rivals/beats many of the 'high end' watches I've seen/owned. Keeps great time too, runs roughly +-1s/day

I don't know if you switched to the smart watch for the same reason as me, but I've been sticking to my Casio atomic watches because if I can't trust the time on my watch, it's just mechanical jewelry.  Don't get me wrong, I've got non-functional jewelry, but I need to know the correct time without taking my phone out, especially with the 50,000 Zoom meetings I need to attend 😃

Hamilton have just released the Field Watch in bronze. I figured it might appeal to a few people around here.

Not to be outdone, Tudor have launched a bronze version of the Black Bay Fifty Eight. It's only available at boutiques, though. More at Monochrome.

                    Good colors on that Tudor!

They use an aluminum bronze alloy, which I find less interesting than the simpler, traditional bronze. Al Bronze is much duller in appearance.

Whatever steampunk vibes come with bronze get amplified with the fake rivet bracelet. Just not a material I'd ever want for a watch.

Really liking the way that Hamilton looks. I've been eyeing a Khaki King for awhile, but may have to pick up a mechanical field watch instead. I'm curious how it looks in person.

@FlannelnBooze I've got 2 Hamilton watches, one khaki field mechanical, and the one in the pic a few threads back. They get daily use and I love them. I wouldn't ever pay more than £500 for a watch (I'd rather pay my mortgage off early than have £1000 on my wrist. Chances are it would get jacked in some of the areas I need to go to anyway!).

I like a simple military style without being too weekend warrior. I think some Hamilton fit that bill nicely for my needs.

My two watches are a SARG011 and SARB017, both are in the field/military style, the latter being a take on Rolex's Explorer. I think the most I'd spend on a watch is for a Speedmaster Professional - I've just always enjoyed that watch, but I'd always be reluctant to wear it. I'm really drawn towards the Hamiltons. They seem to be the step up from my Seikos. The standard mechanical field watch is extremely clean too, very tempting to pick up the bronze and put it on a natural veg tanned nato and let life shape its colors.

Paired up with some IH-777S-21s and a Freenote t-shirt. Think the next step is to get a black NATO leather band for it.

Congrats! I’ve been eyeing these for years and still haven’t taken the plunge. Yours is a lovely colourway and looks great on the wrist.

Maybe the most practical, while still good-looking, watch I've ever owned:  the Casio GMW B5000 (with a lovely side of herringbone):
