A long, long time ago, there were lots of barely known watch brands that didn't survive the Quartz Apocalypse. One such manufacturer was Evans, which as far as I can tell, made a range of affordable, but generally unremarkable, watches.  As some of you know, that happens to be my last name (no relation). For that reason, I keep a lookout for them and have purchased a couple over the years.  This is my newest, and nothing like any other Evans I've seen previously.

It will need a complete overhaul, but I really like it.

                Love that…..Well done....

For some reason, it reminds of this:

A few years ago, a fishing mate of mine (who is a serious pikey and hangs around dumps and buys bits and pieces that have been salvaged from the skips/dumpsters by the "Recycling Operatives") got hold of one (not the one in the pic, I grabbed that from the web).

I think he probably paid no more than a fiver for it.  He had it fully refurbed and then offered it to me for £1000.  I just did not have £1000 lying around at the time.  I often think about how much I really wanted it….

Hey @goosehd! It is a zirconium bracelet by Pat Pruitt.

No idea about mine, but odds are that it isn't. I suspect it hasn't been serviced for at least 50 years, so I'm not going to mess with it.  It's going in for professional help. I'll find out more after that happens.

they must at least have some sort of decent movement given the amount of information available for it. would be keen to find out more and know more when you find out..

1000 quid for a triple complication sounds like an absolute bargain. it's sometimes hard to fathom how "cheap" watches like that come with ultra complicated complications inside..

Seiko auto movement, sapphire blue tint crystal, screw down crown and back and solid stainless bracelet.
It is a fantastic watch. Great bang for buck.

                                          The Rolex madness continues!

Philips individually auctioned off a collection of five of the new Oyster Perpetual 36mm watches with the bright coloured dials. The yellow, coral, and pink models went for HKD 107,100, or about AUD 18,700 for a piece that retails at AUD 7,850.

And it isn't anything exotic. The OP is Rolex's basic model.

I ask at local jeweller Jasper Watches in Erfordia for the GMT Master.
They told me a waiting time of about 20 years. For the submariners 5 to 10 years, that one with green bezel also about 20 years. That is crazy. ???
In former times in the German Democratic Republic you could wait for a car also 15 years or so. But they had lack of economy
