Let's get this party started…..
Got a couple of them lined up in the cellar. My favourite of the «standard» Geuze. How did you find it?
I enjoyed it. I'm definitely a lambic novice, though. I'd seen the Tilquin in this thread, and read about it in an article meant for newbies, like myself. I thought it might give a good baseline for future "research".
One of the shops I get to occasionally has 3F, and I'm ready to grab a bottle. Any particular vintage I should be favoring ?

I’ve never had a bad 3F but Eli is the man to ask. Comparing the entry level 3F to the entry level Tilquin, I actually prefer the Tilquin, although I recognise 3F is superior. The Tilquin is a bit more rough, robust and rustic and I like that.

Speaking og Belgian sours, I had this last night… Kriek blended with Guiness. I was sceptical but it is very well balanced.
Oh, now that looks very much like my kind of beer. I'm gonna have to go shopping.

Have you ever had a Rullquin, Chris?..

scooter: there is no bad 3F… But you'll have to do your homework and discover whether you like straight geuze, or fruited lambics, and if so which fruit or mix you prefer... I mostly do geuze and grape lambics... But I'll have 'm all... Although rhubarb is pretty hardcore...
Thanks, Eli. Not worrying about vintage will keep me from overanalyzing. The Tilquin was to my liking, and more straight gueuze will be on the agenda while shopping. But, I am a fruited sour fan. Kriek, peche, and pomme all sound delightful to me.
