^ I cant even begin to imagine the pain & suffering you guys have been through whilst Archie was alive and then trying to make sense of his death. The timing of Oscars arrival in your lives gave you guys purpose in that period you called the "nightmare" and, to me, his arrival was a miracle in itself. Managing to survive the trauma of the events you have touched on and then offer us, your fellow forum members, such words of positivity and simple suggestion to think of others and reach out to others leaves me feeling emotional and moved by your strength. Thanks for sharing @Streetwise Hercules

Thank you @Streetwise Hercules I’m always deeply humbled when someone chooses this arena to reveal deeply personal stories like this.
I think all parents have anxiety issues about the health of their children but I cannot imagine the raw horror of being in that situation for real. Surviving as you and your wife have done is a true feat of bravery. Oscar is blessed. I wish all three of you the absolute best.

I don’t have any to do anything else but be a pizza man
English much?
Ok. What I meant to say was I don’t have anytime to do anything but be a pizza man.

@den1mhead @neph93 Thanks fellas. Taking the family to a dinosaur park and then I’m going to medicate myself with some delicious alcohol.
@Seul You hang in there to, pal.

I'm glad you have that one good friend @Streetwise Hercules .
I have no words. -
@Streetwise:
Parents shouldn’t outlive their kids…
there was a short video i watched about parents opening up about losing a child (whether it was due to suicide, illness or something else) with an interviewer asking questions about what they went through and how they dealt with everything. it was tough enough watching it behind a screen, let alone trying to imagine what they have gone through. i honestly cannot imagine how hard it must've been.
i just want to say that even though we're on a forum, my inbox is always open for anyone to have a chat about anything, and to you @Streetwise Hercules, if you ever need anything, don't be afraid to ask or talk about it. Stay strong.

Been a topic of conversation lately.

We have had a shit load of rain recently. I hate water-related problems because water can track for bloody miles, thus the symptom may be a long way from the cause. I spent a long time looking for water ingress today, but found none.
However, all the lights in the new build go back to one RCD, which flips after about 5 minutes of being reset. So I'm working and cooking with the aid of one light plugged into a 13amp socket.
It's a challenge…..

@goosehd Same here. I saw my first frozen precip this afternoon. My first Midwest winter is underway. Heeeeere we go.
-
@FairlyVague At least we don’t have it as bad as @neph93 where winter last’s 11 months and 3 weeks… give or take a week...:D

Yeah but it’s a dry heat… [emoji1]
Seriously though, the mid-western winters are damn cold even by my standards. Inland climates are evil.
What makes it tough up here isn’t so much the temperature but the latitude, the wind and the constant low pressure/high pressure exchanges.

Yeah, inland climates are brutal. It's only supposed to get up to 67F/20C here tomorrow.
I might have to wear socks.
