'tis a collab with Amager still or no longer?.. Saw it around years ago, but think Jester King just started making it again on their own though…

(My slightly hungover mind might be slipping though... Either way it looks fab and I'm so stoked to see you drinking The Dark Stuff...)

I don't know if it was ever a collab @Seul, but you're more knowledgeable about these things than I am.  All I know is that it went down quick. As I said, I should've bought more than just a 4 pack.

          And I suspected you'd approve, @Jett129. 😉

I was wrong: their collab was named Danish Metal!..

Another fine IPA with some fine weather…

I'm not a huge IPA drinker, but this was really good. Lots of citrus.

This was nice; but not something I'd go out of my way to drink again.

Finally ! I found a local shop carrying some of the brands, from across the pond, that I've seen in this thread. I went the porter route, tonight.

Unfortunately, they did not have all I was looking for. I'm still on the lookout for the likes of Demoersleutel, Kees, Lervig, Northern Monk, Sori, and Verdant. Just to name a few.

They did have a number of To Ol offerings. But, I was unsure of what to grab. Any suggestions, @Seul @neph93

To Ol and Kees are véry hit and miss… Mostly miss, these days... And out of the ones you mentioned, I'm not sure a lot of 'm, if any, have distribution outside of €urope...  😶

I'm on a roll with posting beers. Here's tonight's choice:

Hibiscus had been hit or miss for me; I've had a couple that I really like. This one is only meh.

Making me thirsty gents… As I'm in an at risk group I can't go to the large shopping center where the major monopoly store is. So I'm confined to a little one with a spread of staple beers... the lack of new fun stuff is wearing a bit thin. That honey stout looks especially exciting @scooter

I just re-stocked the IPA fridge. Stout stock is ok.

I was unsure about the ginger in this one, but it wasn't overly strong. Maybe the oats mellowed it out?

Sounds interesting…. ginger, like liquorice is something I’ve always felt should work in proper beer. I’ve said it before but I’ve always found attempts at liquorice beers to fail, but someone has worked out how to do it and has clued others in too. This is the third or fourth liquorice stout since Xmas, they’ve all been good but this is great. Powerful, creamy base, and with a big liquorice ending. It’s only 5.1% but tastes like an impy. Amazing.

I’m also partial to strong Golden Ale, so when Nøgne brought one out for Easter I was as happy as an Eli in shit. Predictably it’s a bit “meh”. Not bad but surprisingly tame and uninteresting.
