Thanks all. We have a 3 year old girl at home so this is going to be an adventure in no longer having a numbers advantage.

I wore these jeans all week to work in case I was called away in the middle of the day. Childbirth is a trying experience at the best of times and this one was particularly arduous. For whatever reason, good luck objects, talismans or whatever, have a way of making us feel like more than ourselves. I’m a knife enthusiast and carry a pocket knife most days, and they often serve that role, making me feel prepared for anything. Obviously, knives are looked down upon in a hospital setting, so for this one I went into it knowing “no matter what happens, I’m wearing the best pants I could be wearing.” This is probably the only place I can express such a sentiment, as most people would find it ridiculous. But I think you guys know and can relate. So let me say thanks for making the stuff you do, and in doing so being a part of these events. -

Glaringly obvious but worth mentioning… keep your UHFs away from naked flames, they go up like an xmas tree..
I have a faulty gas ring on my stove (takes ages to ignite), hungover this morning and not paying attention I managed to set fire to the entire sleeve of my shirt while making a cup of tea... amazingly no real damage to the UHF except one sleeve is now a lot hairier than the other. Keeping out of harms way for the rest of the day..

@tvenuto Just saw this,so happy for you Congratulations!!! On another note my instagram account was hacked and taken over by someone. All my pictures are there just now as someone else’s account. Trying to get this undone.
So glad I got off instagram awhile ago. I seriously don’t understand the point of hackers taking over an account. Hope you get this resolved

@Jett129 and others thanks for the kind words. We’ve got a happy boy here, good eater and good sleeper, can’t ask for much more at this stage. Hopefully he’ll switch his nights and days sooner rather than later, as he sleeps much more in the day atm.

I’m not on any social network sites. Never understood Facebook and I only browse IG to check out denim brands.

@gaseousclay I'm with you all the way on social media. I just don't do it. In my new work team we just created a 'what's app's group for daytime work purposes. I don't participate.
That said, as @neph93 rightly pointed out to me once, technically speaking this forum is social media. So reviewing my social media policy…I am happy to be on social media with a bunch of great people...but not a bunch of arseholes.

My definition of social media is any platform that is viewed and used by the masses, like IG, Youtube, Facebook & Twitter. The forum does function as a social component of IHUK but it's really only used by us IH fanboys and fangirls to geek out over clothing.

You’re welcome to your own, personal defintion of course, but any dictionary/encyclopedia defintion will refer to social media as being a digital platform used to share content, information and connect people. In most reliable sources, forums and blogs are explicitly mentioned as examples. So a social media being small in scale and covering only a niche interest, doesn’t make it less of a social media. It just makes it geeky social media.
For the record, I’ve recently deleted FB after 8 years, love IG, and have never used anything else.
EDIT: I’ve thought about it had a look and the major social media networks are distinctly defined as «popular social media».
