Day 3: Sherwood, Ohio: Population 827
This is my hometown — here is where Ohio 18 meets US 127. Not even a “one stoplight town” we just have a flashing red light here.
On the corner are our village grocer, 2 gas stations, The Apache Dairy Bar - our local ice cream parlor and sandwich shop, and our business.
While taking these photographs a guy I know pulls up to the stop sign and asks “what are you doing out here man, trying to sell yourself?” lol!

I would have asked him “ why do you ask?? Are you buying??” Lol
Possible propositioning? Well never know

Day 4 ended with my wife and I going to our church parish picnic. It’s quite a lot of fun for those young and old and the water slide is always a huge hit with everyone. There’s also a whole hog roast and cornhole! (Is cornhole strictly a US thing?? As in the yard game you pervs!)
I have a large family with 4 siblings, 14 nephews, 8 nieces, and counting. We’re catholic, does that explain it? [emoji6](as in we like to drink a lot and have unprotected sex)
Here’s some shots of me going down the slide with 2 of my nephews on my back and my brother driving the caravan with 5 of our family’s little ones and my one armed brother-in-law in tow.
Also an old fashioned “IH” boy, although a little different, but not so much. He’s got some roping going on those hems!

Day 5 was very busy at work. I wore the Choco Fattys and the IHSH-16ss. I don’t get too many hat trick days in my line of work but today was one of them so I was ready for a celebratory beer when I got home.
My wife and I went for Mexican dinner with some of our family and in true fatboy fashion, went for ice cream after at Coldstone Creamery.

Days 6-9 were a blur at work and home.
I part own and operate a truck and RV dealership with my dad and brother and it’s been an incredibly busy year so far.
My wife has a huge family as well and they have an annual family reunion at Manapogo Park in Orland, Indiana. We are taking 2 RVs off our lot, one for us and one for her grandparents.
So I’ve been really busy selling and getting RVs ready for this weekend, but I’ll get some good downtime this weekend on Lake Pleasant drinking lots of beer and being a total glutton, in proper fat boy fashion.

This last week and weekend were very busy at work and home — we celebrated my wife’s birthday by going to 4KD Crick Brewery in Defiance, Ohio. I enjoyed 2 pints of Ole Ransom R.I.S. which is 11.something% and a good beer. I had pulled pork and slaw which is one of my all time favorites and a fatty special!
One of my best friends from college got ahold of me saying he was going to come over with his son on Friday and spend the weekend (1.5 hr drive) I thought he was joking until he showed up Friday evening! He told me not to mess around with him about that because he “has the balls to do it” lol. His wife is one of my wife’s best friends and had to work so I think he saw it as an opportunity for some bro time.
He works as a park ranger for Ohio Dept. of Natural Resources and is a hard working dude - so we spent a lot of time working on woods trails and getting the fire pit area ready, as well as drinking lots of beer and other antics. We went on a late night forest adventure and admired the complexity of a spider web and the magic of a glowing hot coal.
My friend Troy is a great guy and I hope to get him on the IH train one day, or at least gift him a 33 or Type III. He likes to be called T-Nasty because it takes him back to his college track star days. He is not a fat boy though, haha!
On Sunday we spent time with my family riding four wheelers and golf carts around, swimming in the pool, and eating lots of BBQ chicken!

This past week was spent getting ready for a party my wife and I had at our house on Friday. We just bought a bunch of Ikea furniture so I wanted to finish assembling all of that.
We like to have themed parties and this one was the “Books and Brews Bonfire”. Most of our recent parties have included a craft beer swap where everyone brings some beers, we all try it and vote, and rank them in order. This party also included a book swap. We picked up a few classics to add to our home library!
I drink more beer than anyone there and ironically, the bottom 4 beers except the Bloody Beer were all purchased by, and received high votes from, yours truly. I really enjoy a Hot Blonde! [emoji6]
Unfortunately it was very rainy last week so there was not much of a bonfire, but we played Telestrations late into the night and there were lots of laughs.
I wore the IHSH-174 and the choc fattys!

Bonus points for the Rhinegeist.
My wife is from Dayton, so I always over indulge in their IPAs when we are in the mid-west

The Defiance County Fair - the first place I drank, smoked, chewed, and screwed (not the animals, mind you [emoji53])
It was a rainy day, so there weren’t many people there, but I still had my obligatory chocolate milk shake from the Shake Shack, and then another on my second lap around.
We always camped the week here growing up, and the fair is always the last week before school starts in my county, so there are always tons of kids running around here and causing one final bout of mischief before the summer ends.
I’ll never forget all of the great memories I’ve made here but I can’t help but feel that the fair has lost some of it’s charm. I think it’s only me that’s changed though and the experience is just as magical as ever for young kids running around there today — at least I hope so.

What kind of rabbit is that? What a cutie. I’m allergic as the dickens but I love rabbits. My might run law has the most laid back funny Holland lop that gives me allergy fits.
