I sat there eating it thinking I’m too old to be a hipster too…..
True story [emoji1]
While I am certainly too old to be one I’ve come to the conclusion that while easily derided the whole hipster thing has revitalised modern western culture to a degree. They’ve taken stuff we always knew was good and made nerding over it into an artform.
There’s always something risible about sub-cultures but they tend to contribute more worthwhile things than not in the final analysis. I should know, I was a teenage goth [emoji38]

'Hipster' is an age old label, used regularly s8nce the 1950s to describe something of artisanal value and quality and those that seek it out. True hipsters are pretty much luddite and are the modern hippie.
I think we should always have the self confidence to never let society make us think we are too OLD for anything. Fuck that! Do what you enjoy when and where you want.
Peer and societal pressure is a constraint designed to ensure conformity…an irony given the spirit that most of us have on this forum for a rebellious and self determining attitude....denim, the timeless uniform of the rebel and proletariat!!
I'd rather be referred to as a hipster than a 4×4 audi driving new money wanna be...money can buy you a lot, but it can't buy you a good attitude.
How did I get on to this?!...oh well...I had the best smashed avo and poached eggs yet in Norwich last week. The Avo smash had the perfect balance of feta, garden peas, mint, and Sun blushed tomatoes.all served on the obligatory sourdough toast and 2 perfectly poached eggs. Sublime.

My girlfriend keeps on calling me stubborn. (If you've seen Black Panther, there's a scene when Lupita Nyong'o's character describes herself as stubborn, and she pronounces the word in exactly the same way as my other half.)
Anyway, my mattress got damp and has got a bit of mould in it. The stock advice in this situation is to dispose of it, as you can't really get the fungus out once it's taken root.
My girlfriend suggests that we try a professional deep clean. I'm not sure if it's worth it as mould is tenacious.
Anyway, I get in touch with Abaca Organic, the company that sold me the mattress, and they make a few suggestions to try, but suggest it's probably not easily fixed. (Incidentally, they sell a fantastic, but not cheap, product, and have great customer service.)
She's still not convinced.
Then she gets a call back from a mattress cleaner, and passes the phone over to me. I explain the problem, and he tells me that the best course would be to replace it.
My girlfriend thinks we should try someone else, and continues to call me stubborn! :o

Do you live in England? A popular way of disposing of mattresses here is to find a beautiful country lane, find a layby in said lane, and dump the fucking thing there. If you want the whole experience you can set fire to it too. Wonderful…problem resolved...next please... -
That is not a England only thing, Matresses and first an foremost all Sorts of electrical Kitchen Equipment, Mixer to Stove can be Found in Forests Near you in Germany. I assume the People who trash those things are pobably not that smart because the Recycling of als Sorts of electrical Stuff is Free in my Area and the Dump is porbably easyer to reach as the next forest
