The 888 Fatboy Chocolate World Tour

Yesterday I found this 1942 mercury head dime from the Denver mint just laying in a pile of wood from the old fence.. it’s in pretty decent condition and could be worth a lot if it was a re stamp on the year. I guess in 42 they had a ton of 1941s and stamped a 2 over the 1.. I guess the ‘error’ coins are very collectible now days.

Better than my wife’s answer when I said I was going to start a podcast:
“People don’t have enough time in their day to listen to you ramble for that long”

Just browsed a few pages back & realized what these “tour” threads are. Will have to start front the beginning for sure! But for starters, great story and pics you’ve been sharing absolutely love the journey so far @Brock !!!

We need a small sizes tour of something for all you, erm…. little folk. Pretty much every tour going at the moment is for chunky charlies.
-
That's probably because most of us are pudgy bastards…
-
And because historically the tours seem to have always been for the smaller folk. It was our turn! [emoji23]

There must always be XL-XXL/34-36” waist tours. It’s where the majority of us are. But I feel sorry for all the waifs and twinks. They need representation too.
Ya know when I read twink…. I figured it was a mistake... I gave you a pass. I will not make that mistake again.

Getting ready for my second Olympic triathlon. Did a quick practice open water swim with one of my buddies from the 5am group that I ride with. Getting Pumped!!

Post race cruise around Sunriver with the family. Sunriver is out near Bend in Central Oregon. It’s a beautiful high desert at around 4500 ft elevation.
As for the Race I did a pretty good job of beating my last years time… I swam the same time as last year, shaved 9 minutes off the bike course, 12 minutes off the run and about 2 minutes in transition. For a total of 23 minutes faster! Pictures will follow in the next couple days..

It was a pretty brutal race but super fun none the less. Next year a bunch of us are planning on doing the Boulder Colorado half Ironman… not sure how I feel about that yet..
here’s a few more snaps from last night then some of the race.Getting ready at T1 before the swim

Couple snaps at T2
A few on the run and coming into the finish line with my boy River! He loved it!!
My sister and her husband raced too
Here’s a picture with my father in law. He was basically my coach Thru the training process. Couldn’t have beat my previous time by that much without him!

We left Sunriver and continued North East to Joseph, Oregon yesterday. My dads family owns some acreage in Joseph and they built a cabin on it in the 50’s now there’s 4 cabins on the property. I helped frame, roof and side our cabin in 2012. It’s still a work in progress but mostly complete. Projects in Portland keep us from finishing it…
