Travel and traveling are totally overrated.
I have worked and lived all over the world, and it was a good experience but no, these were not life-altering, epiphanistic adventures. People are people, wherever you go.
I do believe there is value in visiting abject shitholes (Yemen comes to mind) to really appreciate what one has when he is back home. Helps a person identify what really are „first world problems“.
Now this could be a good unpop. I'll +1 on that for work travel. Personal travel is enjoyable..

^ Definitely disagree. Love traveling to new places. Different landscapes, cultures, art, architecture, food, etc. Worth it every time. I do agree that people are people but I definitely do not travel for the people.

I 99% agree - however, living it a resort town, shorts are inevitable in 98 degree heat with 100% humidity.

Eh, I don't care about other guys wearing them, but that is definitely my rule, and has been since I was a kid.
And on a related note, cargo shorts are the ugliest shorts of all.

I’ll revise my original unpop-op to include being on water, in water or near water with the intention of using it, but otherwise I stand by it regardless of temperature. In my book I can buy linen or sweat.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. Because I don’t believe that you gemtleman sweat in the manor in which I do. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that I can think about spicy food and I start to sweat. I repeat, I sweat when I think. That is all. Good luck with your sweaty grundles you animals.

I sweat like a mofo during the summer so shorts are a must, especially when it's humid. I'd rather be comfortable and look silly wearing shorts than be that guy whose shirt is drenched from sweat.
