So I have a job interview for a management position at the restaurant where I currently wait and bartend. I need to dress right for the interviewz suggestions please.

I agree with Neph on the suit with no tie - I only wear a tie when I want someone to be intimidated of me lol [emoji23]

I always do a pocket square tho to add a bit of flare and Show i k ow HOW to wear a suit, not just simply putting one on.

I know you’ve dropped a bunch a pounds - hit me up, I have about 5 suits that would fit you - I’d be happy to drop ship for you tomorrow  if needed [emoji869]

      Thanks Reuben

To be honest, this is just my gut reaction. I'm in no way an expert on these matters. It just seems to me that if the owners like you enough to give you an interview for a step up then I would be interested in showing them I can take it seriously. That I'm also interested in taking my game up a notch. But business culture in the US isn't something I'm very familiar with.

My thinking is that the suit shows professional standards, charcoal and black leather is some classy shit and no tie keeps it a bit more relaxed. I bet @Appfaff would be the go-to guy for the money answer here though.

Gentlemen thank you so much. Charcoal suit it is. Putting it on the credit card. Adam
Thank you for the offer but my interview is Tuesday and I’d need the suit tailored by Monday night.  Yiu guys are the best. Adam, what color picker square?

      Maybe so. Maybe not

White shirt and white folded pocket square always looks classy. I do have some bright and colorful ones I use to coordinate with crazy socks sometimes when it the situation calls.

Best of luck with the interview bud, you will kill it 🙂

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive place to send old boots to get resoled? I want to get Vibram ripples or cristy's on an old pair… not looking to spend $300 though.

My wife and I have rented out places and it really depends on the tenant. That sounds obvious but that depends on the realtor if you’re using one.  Use a realtor yiu know and trust and who knows you. Have a beast of a rental lease written up. Be thorough on all of your rules. Very thorough. And be selective about who you choose. I suggest meeting with them and having them provide a credit score. Also! Make sure they get renters insurance. Make that part of the lease. This is your home. Not trying to scare you.  Just inform you

Thanks Matt, the rental company ensures qualified tenants and handles small stuff as part of their fee.

Hoping it just attracts nice families… not sure how lucky we get to be if we get an accepted offer on the house we want and time is of the essence lol

@Appfaff using a property manager is the only way to go IMO, you're on the right course.  Doing everything yourself can be a pain in the ass.  A property manager is generally worth every penny.

My father has rented properties for the past 20 plus years or so and at first he was doing everything himself and it wore him down.  He had a renter in one of his properties and there was a domestic dispute where a gun was "accidentally discharged" inside the house.  Thank god the bullet(s) did not hit any humans but one did go through a cabinet in the kitchen and an arcadia door (this is just one example of headaches he had with renters).  That was the final straw for him and he was about to sell his properties…between getting phone calls in the middle of the night during the summer cause the AC unit went out....renters who left houses completely trashed.....bullets flying in the kithcen....he was done.

But he gave it one more shot and decided to try a property manager and it has been smooth sailing ever since.  I don't even think he has met or seen any of his renters in the past 5 years or so.  Property manager has handled everything and have found quality renters every time.  Almost completely hands off for him now.
