There's a distinct lack of short sleeve shirts available. Why? Do most people just roll up their lighter weight long sleeve shirts in the summer?

We make them, they don't sell (well, they do in Japan).  I used to think it was because the sleeves were too baggy, so we modified them on a couple of shirts last year, still did not sell.

fabric weights - how does this work? For example, my IHSH-201 (6oz) feels more like my IHSH-21 (10 oz) weightwise than my IHSH-133 (6oz) …

if so, why is the 201 much heavier than the 133? -not complaining, just interested  🙂

fair point - feels noticeably thicker/heavier - both great shirts anyway!

If a fabric is very tightly woven or if it has a load of sizing agent (often starch) left in the fabric, it will feel heavier than a loose weave or one with no sizing agent left in it…

I think it's also easy to be fooled as the layman only has the garment in his or her hand or body, not the square yard of cloth on a scale. So a 10oz chambray, which as you say is thin and tightly woven, will feel lighter than a 10oz denim that is coarser and thicker.

It's weird how an item can play tricks on you.  I have two pairs of jeans that are the same size and the same weight denim, different manufacturers.  I was absolutely positive one pair was much heavier than the other, until I weighed them.  Exactly the same weight, down to the tenth of a pound.
