I'm now 4 episodes into Fargo season 1. So far, so good. It gets bonus points because Joel & Ethan Coen are executive producers on the show, so I know it's in good creative hands being that they're local boys. I like the actors a lot, but the standouts for me so far are Billy Bob Thorton, Martin Freeman and Adam Goldberg
I think Martin Freeman does a great job channeling his own version of William H. Macy's character from the original movie. Can't wait to finish up season 1 and start season 2
Season 2 will not disappoint.
Good to know. I think if I had to find something to nitpick about it would be the ridiculous use of the Minnesota accent. It's not used as much, it would seem, as the original movie but I felt the movie at least did a decent job of doing it correctly. Again, William H. Macy did a great job with his Minnesota accent but there were a few scenes in the tv show that were cringe worthy. And no, most Minnesotans do not speak like that

It's a regional dialect in parts of the midwest. I think it's origins are from the large Scandinavian immigrants that came here. Some people do talk with the thick Minnesota accent but I havent heard it in awhile. Especially people that like to say, "uffda."

I remember when I would visit my Swedish grandfather in Minnesota he would always take me to a store called "Uff da". It was like a big gift shop full of Swedish trinkets….might have been trinkets for all Scandinavian countries but I just remember buying the Swedish ones.
This reminds me, I just did that Ancestry DNA thing...pretty cool. Come to find out I'm 49% Scandinavian. My grandfather was Swedish like I said but I was surprised to find out I had that high of a percentage of that DNA.

Minnesota is pretty multi-cultural but there are a lot of immigrants that came here from Germany, Sweden, Norway and Finland. My dad's side of the family is German and Swedish. My ex-wife's side is Norwegian, French and Irish. Where in Minnesota was your grandfather?

He had a place in Lake City, small town from what I remember. I always liked it up there.

Nice. I may have passed through there once upon a time on my way to Chicago.

Season 2 is as good, maybe even better. Season 3 wasn’t quite as strong imho, but still worth watching.

The Terror (AMC Network) is a show about the ill fated Franklin expedition to find the North West Passage. However, The Terror, as in the name of the show is a play on words, because one of the ships is called The Terror and the other Terror is some feckin' huge monster thing that proceeds to lop heads, legs and bodies asunder. It's all very claustrophobic as the ships are stuck in the ice. It's a great watch with a Brit cast.

Started Season 3 of Better Call Saul. Probably my favorite season so far but to be truthful it's been so long since I've watched seasons 1 and 2 that I don't entirely remember them at this point.

I still gotta finish seasons 2 through 5 of Breaking Bad before starting on Better Call Saul. Bob Odenkirk is also in season 1 of Fargo

WILD WILD COUNTRY - only two eps deep… Can not believe I'd never heard of this whole, urm, ORdeal … Wild stuff...
ASH VS EVIL DEAD season 3 babyyyy... Three eps deep... Lacking a bit of magic so far...
FLINT TOWN - downloaded... Eight part doc about (you guessed it) the town of Flint...

2 episodes into Fargo season 2 and I like it (no surprise there). If I had to make one complaint about season 1 it would be the overuse of parables. Hoping season 2 isn't more of the same

it isn't. then again, I didn't know 1 was full of parables. I like the murder and mayhem. And krazy glue.
