wierdly, I actually use the upper and lower straps on my engineers everytime. I cinch them tight to keep the tops from pushing out on my jeans, and I like the snug fit on the arch.

What would be if you would not tight up lower strap? Would you still be able to wear them?

Or would not loose it before putting them off?

@Bulatik85 - I need to tighten and loosen the lower strap every time I put them on/off. That is the only way I can keep my heel in place as I walk and avoid my heel lifting/rubbing with each step. In fact, I started using the second-to-last hole when they were new, and now I'm using the very last hole.

I guess I must have a very 'low volume' foot because lengthwise they are perfect. Guess I should clarify that my info pertains to a Viberg engineer boot, and not a Wesco.

        The journey is the objective.

Couple of questions while I am waiting for my boots.
This will be my first engineers and I would like to clarify couple of things while waiting for them.

the major question for me is how to understand that size is correct:
            1. should the feel good at the first wear, or I would need some time before they will break in?
            2. should they feel slightly tight at the first try and then strech a little after some wear to comfort feel?
            3. should they feel good even without tighting any strap?

sounds like a bunch of stupid questions  😃 but I really want to be sure that I received the correct sizing, because I have a choise to take half-size smaller(for example). and don't try to deal with wrong size boots(i guess you could exchange unused boots, but you can't do it with used boots, that is why it looks very important to me to understand this before the actual wear).

Hey @Bulatik85 - Here Has been my experience

              1. should the feel good at the first wear, or I would need some time before they will break in?

Your WESCO boots will feel nice when new, but the double midsoles will make them quite stiff. It will take a week or two to get the soles to flex. Since the soles will not flex very much, you will notice that the heel slips a bit. This is Ok, and to be expected.

              2. should they feel slightly tight at the first try and then stretch a little after some wear to comfort feel?
Leather stretches. My rule of thumb is a shoe should fit slightly snug more so than slightly large. However, you do not want them to be "tight." You might find they are difficult to take off when new, and this is also to be expected. Snag a boot jack from a local shoe store, and you will keep the heels in better shape, and save yourself alot of trouble pulling them off.

              3. should they feel good even without tighting any strap?

The strap is there for if and when you need it. I would try the boots on with the thickest socks you intend to wear. When I wear my engineers with my Iron Heart engineer boot socks, the fit is perfect, so I don't need to adjust the straps any tighter. However, when I wear thinner socks, I tend to tighten the straps one hole to match the same feel.

Overall, if the boots is slight hard to get one and a bit tough to take off, it's probably the right boots. If it's near impossible to put on, they are probably too tight. Also, since these are pull on boots, don't be afraid if there is a little wiggle room in the foot area. This is normal, and you will come to appreciate the comfort of this on pull on boots.

Hope you enjoy them, this is the best engineer build on the market IMHO.

Just write “@“ before their nick. It doesn’t work in Tapatalk I’m afraid. You have to be on the forum webpage.

@Appfaff’s info is very good. You’ll need to wear them in and a little snug is a good thing at the start.

Right, that is what I meant by cutting and pasting code. The other way is “web view” and make the change. I’m aware of both those methods. The point being, they are both work arounds. Tapatalk doesn’t recognise a tag simply by using “@“-nick.

yes, this is kind of complicated question. But I guess that nowdays the EMS and Royal Mail getting better.
I have recently received couple of parcel with USPS Priority - which is the same as Royal Mail or Russian Post on our side. 8-10 days from USA - quite fast. But still for the expensive stuff like boots I would prefer the DHL or UPS, just to feel safe(if I would have to choose).
I have also received goods from UK by DHL, like shoes from https://www.herringshoes.co.uk/ - usually 3-4 days. fast and convinient.
I would say that the major problem is the weird way of work in UPS Russia(a lot of waste of time).

I have never heard about TNT before, but google telling me that we have TNT office in our city  🙂
