@steffen it looks fantastic and makes me think about getting a Simmons Bilt sometime as well.

I will again reiterate that you guys are bastards!! I had never looked at the Simmons webpage before…I thought a) the quality suggests prices well over £1400 a jacket, and b) they will be based in the USA or Japan. It would appear I couldn't be more wrong on both counts. Well where the hell does that leave me?! Added it to my fricking shopping list, that's where.

I always question why I look at this and the leather jackets thread. So Tempting!
-
@Giles oh, I see, by relieving me of the excess £800!
-
If you feel the quality requires a higher price, it would be irresponsible of him not to reassure you with one you consider more appropriate…

many of the high end denim and leather companies position themselves at similar price points in the market, considering the costs of the materials and the number of skilled processes required and resultant labour time, so when I see a product that has excellent material, lots of skilled processes, and comes in at half the price of competitors AND I would have to pay import duty, my eyes bulge ??? in disbelief!

The sample is currently being knocked up in a "cheap" leather, I don't want to use the Blattwerk for my experiments….
I am deeply looking forward to see the specs of this beast!!!!!!!
