In all fairness the rant was 2 parts: 1) as the scenery gets more Spring-y, 2) the weather is getting more Winter-y than it's been all winter thus far…

But, I feel ya, old guys, lol! Get your grump on!!!

Only in England does the temp drop to -5C while the flowers and trees are starting to bloom…

No notable snow all winter so far in Suffolk, but now in the last stretch, here comes the "Snowpocalypse"… Enough snow that the Greater Anglia Train line has had to cancel a couple of their routes for the time being.

We got over a foot of snow a few days ago. That's a snowpocalypse.

I was walking along a bridge over railway lines when it got caught by a gust of wind, and blown onto the tracks.

Also, on the ongoing job hunt front, I had an interview for a tech lead role today.

The guy I spoke with (technical PM) turned me down because I didn't know a couple of libraries (RxJava and Dagger), which are the new hotness in Android. His argument was that as a lead, I had to know more than my underlings.

It's not that hard for an engineer to learn a new API, and this was a permanent position…

Day 2 of the Snowpocalypse (yesterday):

Sent home from work at 2pm… All non-essential operations are shut down until further notice...

Day 3 of the Snowpocalypse:

No work.

Meanwhile, I can still see trees blooming from my living room window.
