Such a good band and so influential in the early 90s. They helped shape the sound of post-hard-core even though Quicksand are the darlings of that legacy

Speaking of Quicksand, their new album is fantastic.

                This thread needs some love!

Today was a strange music day.
I was working with notes from Albrecht Dürer and this picture came into my mind.
The four horsemen of the Apocalypse.

When we were young, the Bollock Brothers brought

                into town 😂.

Perhaps we are all sitting in a

                ….

Yesterday was the release party of a local band called Long Distance Calling.
Catched the limited LP and Headphones on at the moment. Love this Sound!
Always wondering about my different music influences over the years 🤙 .

I'm not that much into stoner rock, but Kyuss was a masterpiece. What they played, how they played, their tuning, harmonys, etc. Funny they become sort of cult and famous long after they splitted on huge QOTSA hype.

                                Btw, here's my band: https://mothersinfurs.bandcamp.com/
Dig the music or not, but our japanese inspired artwork is rather nice 😘

@krzy  I remember the first couple of LPs coming out in the early 90s. The music press didn't know what to do with them…There was a thrash revival going on, death metal was having a golden age, and then there were Alice in Chains, Soundgarden et al (I don't use the G word. No one did back then). Kyuss got unfairly lumped in with the later. There was a doom scene in Europe and parts of the US (Maryland etc) but it was underground and Kyuss were not doom anyway. I'm not denying their influence or their musical ability, just never got the deity status they have reached since. Opinion is just that though.  🙂

On a related note, Josh Homme's wife, Brody Dalle, put out some decent solo stuff. Never heard her music with The Distillers but I liked the Spinnerette album and her solo album is pretty good. She's got a great voice too

@Aetas if you want something different listen to this. I'm sure everyone has heard Sabbath a 100000000 times. But this album is completely different and I quite enjoy it. They fired Ozzy right after this record. Nobody liked it at the time because it wasn't heavy. But I think it is quite good.
