No dents, my daughter is a quick learner so I think she’ll be ok. I was down for an hour. Crawled off the field  I didn’t know a specific area could cause pain throughout and entire body. I almost threw up. Running full Speed to catch a cork screwing line drive. It zigged I zagged. Bam. Luckily it hit my wrist first.  That might have knocked a few KM off the speed. Ball took skin off my wrist…. shit.... now I’m
Kinda laughing about it. There goes my whole argument.

Back when I was competing in martial arts, there was a story going around the dojo about a guy that got kicked in the nards so hard it turned his outie into an innie. Story goes that he was sucking wind on the floor, Sensei walked over, punched him in the gut and they popped back out.

Don't know if it was true or not, but sure convinced me to wear a cup.

It still fucking hurts when you get kicked in the cup though.

Ok fellas with daughters, do you find it easier raising a girl as opposed to a boy? I realize some of you don't have boys but anectdotally i've heard from some parents that have both and they said that boys were easier. Just curious what your experience has been

The boys are easier line is bull shit IMO.  Granted I've never raised a boy but I've known lots of co-workers/friends who have boys and have had a hell of a time raising them especially when they get into their teen years.  All I can say is that I have two daughters and I'm completely happy with it.  I don't believe you can generalize and say one sex is "easier" to raise than the other.  What's more influential in regards to a child being "easy" to raise is how a child is parented.

@neph93 has a litter of like 32 kids IIRC, I'm sure he can chime in with his experiences.

I think it may be a case of YMMV. I only have a boy and for the most part he's a good boy, but he can be challenging especially as he gets older. That's probably true of parenting in general though as I don't think it's an easy job

I think both can be challenging. My son is very demanding and problematic in some aspects, while my daughter can be a real mean and annoying beast in other fields.

I love them both equally and don‘t want to miss them in my life but I admit I also think back to the days before we had children at least once a day and miss those days dearly. 🙂

I remember sitting with a friend about 10 years ago. He had two daughters aged about three and five, and my oldest boys were around the same age. The girls were sitting quietly playing with dolls and my boys were climbing the walls, trashing the sofa and being generally rowdy. He laughed.

Now he’s pulling his hair out because his girls are moody, argue with each other all the time, do not respect boundaries and won’t talk to him. My boys read books, play Xbox go skiiing, play football and enjoy being with their little brothers.

That’s just an anecdote of course. His girls are great, as are my boys. The point is that I think  there are different phases , with different genders that test different parents in different ways.
