Those Presage are nice. I didn't know anything about them but many of them are quite lovely.

Can anyone recommend a good quality leather watch strap maker in the UK? I’ve found the Toshi website and the offerings there look pretty good? Does anyone have experience of these?

Equus Leather do some very nice watch straps. Unfortunately they cost £150 and up, so probably not in the scope of this thread.

Tender offer some good straps through the Trestle Shop in Bakers bridle leather. They're £45, but only come in an 18 mm width. (Someone should suggest to Will that a 20 mm model would be a good idea. The hardware could fit that size.)

Equus have a 15% off promotion that's running until 28th January, use code EQUUS15.

@neph93 the Visodate looks nice. I'd be tempted to push the budget up (err, nearly double it), and get the Tissot Ballade Powermatic, which has their sweet, chronometer grade movement.

Hodinkee have a write-up of the Visodate, which seems positive. I found it whilst trying to find their article on the Powermatic watches.

They also have an introductory piece on the Ballade, which goes into why I like it, along with a hands on.

Whilst searching, I also found their hands on with the Tissot Heritage 1936. It's a nice looking watch, but now discontinued. (Jomashop still have them, and there's the similar T-Complications Squelette, though it's a more contemporary design.)

True, but I’m so Boris Johnson otherwise that I need a bit of Major for balance.

@Graeme  I do like the Ballade. The 1936 not so much. The font is a bit much for my John Major inspired tastes. As ever I’ll read the literature you kindly provided.

@neph93 if you liked the 1936, your tastes would be more Rees-Mogg than Major, and that would be a very bad thing.  😛

Indeed. On an entirely non-political, purely personal level, that man gives me the willies.

I know it’s not necessarily a “high end”
Watch, but Victronix makes some damn good watches.

The jewelry store I bought my wife and I’s wedding rings from had a massive sale on some the week before our nuptials, so I bought myself and my father one.

He wears his ever single day, and it looks as good as it did the day I have it to him.

I wore mine primarily for the last 3.5 years and it was never more than a few seconds off time.

It's a 38mm case (as the model names says), so not too big. It's got a hand-wound ETA movement, so should be accurate and reliable, as well as cheap and easy to get serviced.

I figured it might suit @neph93, as it looks like the baby brother of the Hamiltons he posted a couple of weeks back.
