      If this is any help,I’m an 8.5 in Converse and an 8.5 D in Wesco.

        @neph93:

        One down from sneakers depends on the sneakers you wear and probably isn’t a good comparison.

        I’ve had Moc toe RW’s in 10.5D that fit ok (a little wide, a little long) and were the same size as my best fitting Wesco’s (10.5E) so that might be a better place to start.

        There is a of course a noticeable difference between D and E width but what width you need will also depend on which boot you are looking at. Jobmasters and standard Boss toes have a wider foot and higher toe box than Packers and the MP toe. Personally I like to go D in the former and E in the latter. Which boot had caught your attention?

        Overall, I’d say that if you like the boot and the price is right, a 9E Wesco should be close enough to a 9.5D RW that it is worth the risk. But that is how I think about these things.

        Good morning, once again I think @neph93 nailed it pretty close , he must have as much stock in wesco as I do…😁
        I have always been curious to know the difference in width because I personally have not felt much of a difference with wescos D and E offering and with a lace to toe even more so because of the ability to tighten wherever you need. I measured mine and it looks like at the widest point it only a 1/8 different. I’ve also found that wesco run a bit more TTS than some other brands. Meaning I have not had to size down or up. The MP toe or flat toe is the one that I would go with E for sure. To answer your question on the EE , and assuming it’s another 1/8 making it 1/4 wider than D .... how much are you saving? I’ve found that the ‘defect ‘ wesco is better than some offerings from others that are full retail. And at a 9.5 size you will always be able to let them go to another, ( re coop) And as mentioned above a thin insole actually to me is preferred as I stand all day at work. It might be worth the gamble of saving hundreds. Anyways that is my two cents.

              That’s the new London tan domain leather. It’s nice. I fancy a pair of boss in it with roughout shafts.

                @j-diddy not quite as much stock as you, but not far off. I have two pairs of custom Boss ordered through IH and a pair of JH. The custom Boss are 10.5D and 10.5E, the JH are 11D and a little big for me.

                I need the E fitting in the MP toe for the instep, but I’ve also noticed that with the lighter leathers (burlap for example) they stretch more. I have a pair in the 7oz black oil tanned leather and while it softens, it doesn’t really stretch.

                            They're real good. Loving the all brown effect. It's what I'd build with the double mids and the #705 sole but having one pair with the #705 already and living where I live I'd have to drop it for reasons of practicality.

                              Thanks for the detailed informations @J-diddy @Jett129 - I'm going to sleep some nights over the decision and when they're available at the end of the month maybe i'll pull the trigger. The argument of reselling possibilities is strong, also they are cheaper than some regular retailed red wings…

                                I don't like dumping on RW's, they are in no way bad boots and perfectly serviceable in many situations, but the difference between RW and Wesco is about the same as the difference between Levi's and Iron Heart.

                                  I agree with you [url=https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=9518]@neph93 , but In my experience after purchasing wesco and Ironheart… well, let’s just say I don’t have any RW or Levi’s in my closet. 🤪 on another note , has anyone pre-ordered the SandS engineer with the waxed green hide? Omg they look like they are going to be amazing. I’m kinda bummed cuz I saw the boot after I put my order in for a custom. And now the pic wesco just put on IG of the Horsehide. Good lord
                                  I’m going to go broke. Wesco is killing it and also my pocket book. Those HH look a lot like what Brian is putting out without the year plus wait. Oh man , I might be single soon cuz my wife will be leaving me due to my habits.

                                      Looking for some advice on sizing for Wesco Jobmasters in either the 9109 bump toe or standard 9165 last.  I’m a size 10 in Viberg- 2045, 310, and 110 lasts. I’m also a 10E in White’s semi-dress/55 last. Kyle at Bakers is saying I should go for a 10 with Wesco, but I’m not so sure since I’ve read a lot of people go a half size up from Viberg/White’s.  Any advice would be very much appreciated. BTW, I’m thinking of going with black oil tan leather so there shouldn’t be much stretch. Also, what width should I go with?

                                        You wouldn't notice any real difference between the 9109 and standard Jobmasters last, except the instep is slightly narrowed on the 9109. Viberg are typically a half size down from Wesco, being Canadian sizing. While White's would usually be the same as Wesco

                                            Thanks guys. I’m a 10.5 brannock with a high instep and long toes. I feel I’m somewhat in between sizes like between a 10E and 10.5D/10.5E. I like the length the Viberg 10 has but the White’s 10E is shorter than I’m used to. My foot length differs between sitting and standing. When wearing boots without a lot of arch support like Viberg 110s, my feet will flatten somewhat and my toes will approach towards the end of the toe box. This doesn’t really happen on my White’s due to the substantial arch support. I’m also a 10E in Alden Trubalance and Barrie. Does this make sense? Anybody else have this issue?
