My new dive watch arrived. It’s a German-made Damasko Dsub1.

I love the fact that the date window is offset at 4 o’clock while keeping the numbers horizontal (and I hate that they’re so small I can’t really read them…)

According to Hodinkee, the mechanical model uses an ETA calibre, whereas the cheaper quartz uses a Ronda movement.

They're available with a black or white face, and there's a huge selection of straps to choose from.

I like the look of the LMM-01. For $250 for the quartz you can’t go wrong.

Can anyone recommend a good quality leather watch strap maker in the UK? I’ve found the Toshi website and the offerings there look pretty good? Does anyone have experience of these?
