@Jeansman popped in to see us today and brought along some pieces for repair. Among were his 21oz overalls he's been beating up for 3 years. Washed many times and looking great!

These are a size 30. I wear them tight. They are supposed to be worn loose which I don't like. I am usually a 32, sometimes 33 in IH jeans

I took this pic of my gear for a friend and I loved that the tag was in the background. These are like a comforting old friend I can always count on, my absolute favorite.

I find it amusing that the product description says that the 21 oz denim fades with low contrast. I think the contrast on these is really stark.

I think these will be my next IH splurge… they're beautiful! Just wanted to verify before purchasing... I wear a 36 jean (the devil's cut style), so would a 34 be a safe bet? I'm gonna save these for the next DWC after this one is complete (can I submit overalls into the contest?)

These run kind of big. But I love mine because they are loose, comfy, and baggy. The safest bet is to get them to measure a pair for you. But unless you're super fit and skinny, I'd go with the 36 and not size down.

I'm pretty fit, about 195lbs 5'10" tall, and could honestly have gotten a 34 waist, but because I (yeah I said it) do crossfit and run pretty often (about 3 xfit and 2 runs a week, one long over 10k and one shorter around 5k), I have to size up for thigh room… I end up having to get the waist brought in on many jeans, and get an aggressive taper on the knee to leg opening for a more fitted look. I'd hate to get the wrong size, and have to exchange them, especially if one size runs out, so I appreciate the feedback.

Here's a photo of my body type if that clears it up a little.

The overalls do not really have any kind of taper on them and probably have the biggest thigh opening of any pair I own. I love the room in them. But like I was saying get your favorite pair of jeans and measure them then ask Alex to grab a pair that fits close to the size you want. For example I got a 38 tagged but the waist was closer to a 42. So just going by tag size is not gonna help you here.

I am most pleased with the evo these have. Looks epic when compared to my newer 18 oz CPO.

Thank you. I have only been wearing them for 8 months. I can't wait to see how they look in a few more months through the busy season of work.

My overalls have these psychedelic electric blue fades happening all over. I am amazed. Also, it seems like the filthier these get the more insanely soft they get. I was looking at the denim through a magnifying glass in the sun recently and I couldn't believe the sheen and color composition of the denim. It is like an infinite spectrum of blues and prismatic rainbows all over in the sun. Stuff like this makes me believe in God.

They are looking excellent @Filthy 21/23oz junkie . I really wish I could wear these casually or in a work setting to justify owning them.

I saw your post on another thread about blow outs with these and I meant to reply but got distracted so I'll do it here.

I thought they looked good for a while yet. There was one spot on what I guess was the to the front and right from the crotch seam that looked like it was thinning the worst. Are there any loose threads showing?

Thanks. There's no loose threads yet. Just that spot on the front right and the 2 limes on the back left that are white and the denim feels extra pliable there.

In my book, when you start seeing broken weft and loose warp then you should patch/darn or do whatever repair you think best. "A stitch in time…" and all that. Until then you're good.
