IH-9526V - 21oz Non-Fade Denim Type III Vest - Superblack
-
@Giles Ha! Just read the whole thread and came to the conclusion I'd better go for size L.
I have the same chest size as you. I have a very snug leather riding jacket and after I saw a picture of you with size L and XL I thought I could do L. You think so too? I read you could layer with L and wear M with a t-shirt. -
Done.

This has had a lot of use this summer:

Great fit @wdw ! It is an amazing vest. Feels almost like body armor when buttoned up

I've got a 21oz lefty trucker in a size xxl, and it fits great, so I bought this vest in a xxxl as the sizings are pretty similar when compared against each other. I got my xxxl today, and it is massive. The sizings are seriously off this time. For example the actual pit to pit measurement when I just measured the vest is 24.7 inches, but listed as 23.7 (yes I used the video guide method). the actual measured should measurement is 20.5 and the listed measurement is 20.2 (so closer).
I'm going to exchange for a xxl and hopefully that will fit better, as I've lusted after one of these vest for sometime, and since they came back in stock I couldn't resist!

The published IH measurements are based on aggregates and there are occasional variations. You were unlucky with a whole inch difference in the chest, but 0.3” isn’t unusual. If you’re dealing with IHUK they’ll be happy to check measurements before shipping.
it was a bit odd. I appreciate that the sizing is a little larger as they are designed to layer over jackets/hoodies etc. I'm going to return the xxxl and order an xxl. I think the xl would be too short in the body. Hopefully it will work out, else i'll just exchange for the all black zip through hoodie which just came back in stock!

It’s a tricky thing. When it comes to IH, my sizing varies from 34-36 in jeans, M-XL in tee’s, L-XXL in shirts and M-XL in vests, depending on measurements and how the item is sewn up. IHUK are clear on the fact that some items can vary and will help you out if you ask. It’s in the nature of the game and a result of the clothes being made in small batches by humans.

IH UK are always so great. Customer service is just 2nd to none (thank you Alex and Adam this order!). I tried the xxxl, xxl, and claims. The xxl is just right. Great with a hoodie, but still fits great with a shirt or t-shirt. Being a seasoned death metal fan it is proving a challenge to not throw a few patches on it. I might compromise with a couple of pins instead.
Thanks neph93 for the helpful info mate. Hopefully I can get some fit pics of my gear up soon.

No problem, brother… for what it's worth I'd patch the fekk out of one of these, it will look ace. I have an IHV-24 that I've slapped two on already.

@Stuart.T just put patches on, Mate! I got patches on both my indigo and black vest, that war theyre made for!

Hi Max power. You've been to crypt of the wizard?! Keep meaning to check that shop out as I'm not too far from Hackney really.
I've got some 70/80s black Sabbath and Moorhead pins to put on it. The back patch on your black vest looks particularly good…I recognised most of the other bands...is that a band patch or a general one?
Rocking my vest over my schott perfecto biker jacket today. Had a couple of compliments already. F'in great vest. Might even get an xl for milder weather with just a t-shirt (tried one, bit snug and short for a hoodie).

@Stuart.T Crypt of the wizard is an awesome shop, really worth a visit, especially if you're not far from hackney. Ive become a huge fan of that area with the small farm on the other side of the road and dark arts coffe around the corner.
The large backpatches are some old etsy finds, i think by fennec design (?)

Finally got one,
