SE 633 are all quite a bit off from each of the 5 they offer. The taper is about the same, but the numbers are quite a ways off. The 14 and 17 are pretty close in all areas, only maybe .3" difference. But their 18OD is .5-.7" off in thigh alone, which makes the 36 unattainable for me. And their 21oz is around 12.8" thigh compared to the 14/17 around 13.5-6". Sucks only 2 of their 633 are proper for me…don't have skinny thighs haha.
The 888 will def bet a better cut for most compared to the 633.

The major differences as I understand it is that the 888 has a higher rise (and an extra button in the fly as a result), and that the taper on the 888 starts above the knee, while the 633 starts below the knee.

It's been mentioned several times when the idea of this cut was first brought up. @neph93 is right though about the differences, the 888 has a higher rise and the taper starts earlier than the taper on the 633.

I'm so excited for these and have been checking the site daily waiting for them to drop. I have to say however after seeing the measurements I'm a little concerned about the thighs being large enough. I wear a size 34 in my 634S and the 13.3" thigh is about as tight as I would want it. Is the 13" thigh in a 888S size 34 going to be a problem, or is there some other element to this fit (the higher rise?) that might make that a non-issue? I'm sitting with a 34 in my cart right now but am wavering because of this one thing.
Same concern here. The thigh on the tag 34 634 is spot on so, as much as I like the other measurements, this alone makes me reticent.

Depends how you want them to fit. The 21oz stretches a bit so if you can do the thigh then you've got that option. I'm a 35 and have gone 35 in these but I could get into a 34 and allow the waist to stretch. Thing is I reckon the fit then will be more like the 555 fit and that isn't what's intended here.

Just saw more fit pics from the Rivet and Hide page and damn do these look good. Another pair of jeans is absolutely at the bottom of my want list considering the upcoming fall/winter releases but damn I might cave on these. I actually don't have a pair in the flagship fabric right now so maybe that combined with the new cut is more than enough to justify it for me.

My ideal pair of Iron Heart jeans would be the 1955S without the high front rise… these are going some way towards that

36.5 36The 1955S measurements have generally all fractionally diminished since two years ago. Rise aside, the only big difference between the 888 and 1955S is the location of the taper, which I'm somewhat cautious of as 13.6 inch thighs are just barely large enough for me. Having said that, the knee always looked big and baggy on the 1955S compared to other jeans I own, maybe this pair would be perfect! I'd love to try these on somewhere, assuming they fit I'd choose them over the 1955S because high front rise doesn't work for me. Sure, I'd choose a regular rise (11-11.5 inches in tag 36) given the choice, but I love the build quality and fabric so much I'd suck it up.
