After seeing @Warner ducks and the 'wear' on them, I just ordered a pair of these. The hem on the work ducks is a little to wide for me, so I thought these were a good alternative.

Cant wait to get them 'going'.

The Ducks arrived today and they are a thing of beauty. I like the fit. I went for a 36 (which are 35.3). Just need to get them back down to Gosport for a Hem. Might go with the red cotton for the hem. Top marks to the boys & girls in Japan and Gosport.

I need to give these a wash before I send them to Railcar.

Whats peoples recommendations for washing these?

I think I've read somewhere about wearing them in the shower prior to sticking them in the machine.

^ To avoid ugly and possibly permanent crease marks, I would soak them inside out with the shower head then wash @40C on an 800 spin cycle. After the first wash they soften enough that you don't have to do this.

@bryaneidins I wash mine inside out on "quick-wash" cold, medium spin, pull them out right away, smooth out the wrinkles and air dry - same as my denim.

I soaked mine twice before they saw a machine. Even still I wash gentle, no spin.

I'm gonna have a blowout, but not likely soon. Some broken threads on and around the seam

Nice. All my jeans that have that amount of wear have had the crotch repaired at least once. First thing to go, always. Fat ass problems

Yeah crotch blowout isn't a huge issue for me. I burn up the thighs and pockets first
