i'm looking at a pair online but i am unsure of sizing.  I am a 9d in an Alden Indy, and a 9 in RW.  I'm wondering if White's run big?  I found a pair of 8.5's online that i really want.

It's Dutch (or Sud-Afrikaner) but I can't really translate it… Means 'shoe you wear out in the field'... It looks mighty nice though, and rugged as fuck...

the leather is heavily waxed - so can make the boot colour vary a lot with temperature, but they need a bit of TLC too

I have the shoe version, they are a wide fit and very comfy and bullet proof, excellent build, I would suggest going for a smooth sole and not the commando as it is slippery on pavements in winter (although probably very good on a grassy hill) but I'd then wear a different boot for that.
