I've recently watched ''Rogue One'' and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked how well they squeezed the story in between Episode III & IV. Needless to say it was far better than the cringy Episode VII disappointment.

If anyone wants to see how the ending of Rogue One fits into the start of Star Wars, then take a look at this. Needless to say, spoilers are involved.

Like @Dion, I preferred Rogue One to Episode VII.

I'm a bit concerned that Star Wars is going to get overexposed, and too corporate, in the same way that Marvel has been. But, weirdly, I'm looking forward to the Han Solo movie, if only because Lord and Miller have a history of making unappealing prospects awesome.

Agreed! The Star Wars universe is so vast they could easily release several movies per year - which would kill it immediately.

As a sidenote: anyone remember the two Ewoks movies? I actually liked them (as a kid).

Mondays are the cheap day at the local arthouse cinema, and so I caught two films today.

The first was Colossal, whose plot is that a woman whose life is really not together ends up controlling a Kaiju style giant monster rampaging in Seoul.

The second was Free Fire, which doesn't really have a plot. Instead, it's about an arms deal in 1970s Boston that quickly degenerates into a gunfight for the rest of the film. One guy in the audience described it as the first movie of the Trump era!

I enjoyed both films, though I thought that Free Fire was better.
