Soaked these in warm water as advised. Kind of amazed they fit so well in the waist.
Just goes to show how useful some good advice is. Playing around with footwear in pics.
I was really satisfied with these until I saw Beattle's latest BB pics  :-\

Can't, those are Self Edge arcs, and anyway whether we like them ot not, the arcs used on the BB are part of the IH brand….............If you don't like them, un-pick them, dead easy and no harm done....
