I'd like to see a western or half-western in a nice green color (not plaid). A solid denim or chambray would be nice, and so could be a green wabash. Choosing the right hue is key for green.

G, have you ever considered a workshirt-shirtjac (Workshirtjac, maybe????)?

I was dreaming about it last night, and then I got here today and see that people are going shirtjac/CPO crazy on this post… Seems like it would have a market for the bigger dudes who prefer to workshirt cuts, and the more full cut would be ideal for things like the lining that everyone is recommending.

^ agreed! The thing about the workshirt jacket (hereafter known as the wacket) would be that the wider cut, makes it even more jacket-like. Good call UnTucked [emoji1434]

Scratch that…. No snaps. Donut buttons, like on the trucker jackets.

Real, no bullshit workshirt, over-engineered to the maximum, in keeping with IH traditions lol

Definitely no sewn-on buttons with heavy fabric. Donut buttons from the truckers and trucker vests would work.

But work shirt with snaps tho…

I agree. I'm a huge fan of big chunky snaps. Plus I think adding donuts would take it out of whacket territory and into just-another-jacketland.

That overcomplicates things and takes it into different territory.  I'm not saying I won't do it, but I am saying I will gingerly put one of my 8 remaining toes into simple whacketland….
