My Pickles used to be like that when I got her from my ex-wife. I spent a lot of time with her and used lots of positive reinforcement and treats until she calmed down. She's 100 per cent snuggly all the time now. Teaching her the word 'NO!" worked good for when she would bite, and we trim her front nails with finger nail clippers so she can't scratch.

This is definitely the best thread on the IH forum - sorry that so many of our doggy friends have been playing up recently (especially Syd - poor Mr Elephant).

I try to spoil her as much as I can. She was abused and it took a long time to get her friendly.
