It could be but we are cutting down on our use of UHF, it's getting more and more expensive…..

Sherpa lined anything would be cool, but how about a non-type III version? Could be either denim or cord (or even duck).

What about an overdyded UHF CPO since you can't get indigo dyed aspero?

^^^Interesting.  Take the cream used on 101/102MC and the recent blue/cream and dip it.

I'd imagine that the overdying process would fekk the UHF fabric right up.

Just thinking that od'ed denim shrinks and the last two batches of the 99 were damaged by the process too. Given that UHF shrinks readily and loses it's fine, fine texture with heavy washing the then you'd end up with a degraded product. I wasn't around for the 22OD, was it proper UHF material?

No, it was a midweight flannel.  Maybe midweight indigo flannel is feasible?

I think possibly the OD process would be OK, as @browniemcghee pointed out we did it with the IHSH-22 and some others.  I'll have a think and a chat with H, but the end result will be fearfully expensive…..

Everything IH is fearfully expensive…. at least for my wallet.

Is there a reason IH doesn't have anything in the way of garments made from sashiko fabric?

I've been curious about it for a while now; I'm guessing that it's primarily because a sashiko item up to IH standards would be prohibitively expensive?  I'd figure a heavy sashiko shirt would sell like hotcakes here.

My feeling is that sashiko doesn't quite fit the IH aesthetic.

Just because it is Japanese and an amazing fabric does not make necessarily make it a candidate for IH.  Our aesthetic nods to US workwear…..
