@Cutlasshound I told you, that look she gave you when you tried on the One Star was actually a look of pure unadulterated love, not the "you just fucking dare….", that you thought it was.....

Couple of quick fit pics over a 3Sixteen hbt fatigue shirt.
This is an incredibly practical and versatile piece in my opinion. The alpaca lining is incredibly warm (just now I was watching the rugby and had this on over a t and an UHF and was toasty warm). I actually wear this more than my deck jacket at the moment!
The whipcord is an excellent fabric and works very well for use in a vest imo. Also, the alpaca collar is very soft and isn't scratchy at all (unlike the wool collars of a few Buzz Rickson pieces that I was eyeing up previously).

Whaaaaat? You don't have one?!??!?! :o
Hehe… Nope. Almost every other IH vest, and an N-1 jacket, but no N-1 vest. Tbh, I'm going to prioritise a C-3. Otherwise this would be mine...

@neph93 The reasonable thing to do is buy both!
I will say that my N1 vest is probably my favorite piece of IH gear at the moment - it's that good.

man, i'm really torn. I really like the khaki and the navy colors but can't decide which to go for. I'm leaning towards the navy since khaki will most likely show signs of dirt.

@gaseousclay I have the khaki deck jacket and I must attest to how amazing the color is. I wore all last winter and don't have much grime or dirt to show for it. Its so versatile in how it matches a variety of other colors (I'm sure the navy is too though). I liked the khaki so much, I have been dying to get my hands on the vest in the same color (see my comment to giles a few comments back).
I don't know if I am helping or making it harder, but the khaki color is really something else. The N1 vest in khaki being released this fall is one of my top priorities.
On the bright side, it is IH, so in all honestly whichever you decide to go with, you will come out a winner
