@David_pll - how is it?
I "requested" coffee subscriptions for the holidays from Stumptown and Four Barrel, so interested to 1. see if i get them haha and 2. try out some of their varietals.

I work very close to a Stumptown location and I'm quite good friends with some of the staff. He highly recommended this one and told me they were almost sold out! I will find out tomorrow morning!

I'm envious! I was able to sample my first Stumptown can in Canada over the summer and loved it. We finally got the prepared drinks at our Target, but I'd love a more convenient way to sample their wares.

It's very handy indeed, their usual blend of "hair bender" is very good but I haven't tried any of the others yet as I found that one good enough! After talking to my friend I'm going to try a few more now, it's currently in my office and it smells lovely!

To update on the holler mountain. It's good and has a nice flavour but wasn't quite the punch I like in the morning!

I think Stumptown makes my favourite cortado.

Coffee makes me happy.
These guys are on my short list of local roasters: Slate coffee

Going to treat myself to a pour over set up this weekend, got myself hooked thanks to my friends at stumptown.

Nice! I love my Chemex and also have a single cup Dolce Caffee that work fantastic! Make sure you get a scale too - it's crazy how one gram extra or one notch different on the Burr grinder tastes..

I've been looking at the kalita wave, just for one cup also. Then I got told they were a lot of work as you have to keep pouring the water every 30 seconds or so. Going to look into it a bit more tonight.

You dont have to pour every 30 seconds. I am lazy, I pour very slow so I just have to pour once, but slow

When I read online it said it was the best to get, so i think I'm going to go for it still!

Love pour over coffee–the hands on approach makes you an active participant in the end cup (Pour speed combined with grind rate, etc...)
I enjoy using Hario's V60--size 02
Slate coffee uses both the Wave and the V60 for in house pour overs (different baristos have personal preferences and some use one maker's rig for certain varietals and their competitors for others.
I'm in the market for a French Press (family size) any recommendations? The idea of an insulated carafe sounded appealing

Nice set up! I've never tasted Cemex brewed coffee (Seattle coffee works uses one at their "slow bar"). I am in need of a real scale (use a mini mart special to weigh the beans) to better control the flow rate.
Love intelligencia's stuff. So many great roasters out their!
