It looks like I lucked out. I can wear the L in navy (pretty fitted) and the XL in white.

I do prefer Ts without side seams so it's all clear now with this model. I have a couple of loopwheeled Triple Works Ts (1401-1403) in size XXL and they don't have side seams, though.

Got my Navy XL today. Still don't understand how the measurements can give such a fit but I've stopped caring.  Bloody great shirt.

With that in mind I'd just like to say that while the grey marl (quite rightly) gets a lot of love, the blue is also an amazing colour in the flesh. A beautiful deep, dark navy, with almost purple-ish hints.
