Watches - another OCD problem

Montblanc have just announced a version of their 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter in bronze.

It's fitted with a Minerva monopusher movement that's even more porn star than the Ezo Deerskin Western…

I'm in love, and now need to lie down in a dark room to recover.

Having said that, I do wish that they'd gone for the simple dial of the Minerva, which was the inspiration for this model.

Adding the tachy was a bad choice, since they're useless for 99.999% of watch buyers, and it unnecessarily cluttered the face.  But that silver sunburst dial is gorgeous.

Maybe they'll be smart and do a second run, only this time do a black dial.  I bet they'd have no problems selling another 50…

I believe that's from the Signature series and they are a cut above the basic line. It's a very generous gift!
Give the Black Bay a day off and see if it grows on you. I had a minute repeater from this line and it was really nice.

Agreed, I think the perpetual calendars push the high end/high accuracy quartz segment like my Citizen Chronomaster.
