I am pleased to say I have a good story to use for teaching my son about hard work and patience when he's older: After 4 years of well below average salary and,telling myself it will pay off, it has. In the last 6 months I have accepted 2 promotions, today being the 2nd. In all, my salary has almost doubled. Sometimes it pays to bare down.

However this time I managed to figure out the timing, so that they were all on special before I placed it.
