i've been really tempted by one, but not sure how it would look (might look odd) wearing a hoody underneath during rainy times

If you didn't live at the north pole, it would be pretty hot. The jacket ist a damn warm thing, so you really need a tee underneath…

Well, I think it would look rather odd because of the collar & General style, but there's no Problem wearing something warm underneath the N1. Cole is doing it already right now with a UHF and I do so myself when it gets really cold. Of course it depends on your Location - IMO you don't need another layer above 0°C.

If only it didn't rain so much in UK…will wait for a possible half coat in black in the future

It's actually quite water repellant, if not water proof.

I would say so myself. living in northern Germany I didn't have any Problems so far. You could also layer wax on it to make it super rain proof.

Yup. Norwegian autumns are rainy and since I live on the coast, even more so. N-1 plus a proper woolen watch cap (naturally water resistent) and I'm golden in all but the heaviest showers.

Yeah the whipcord definitely is surprisingly waterproof. I've never had any rain coming through. I find it even more surprising that people think it's so fucking warm though haha..

^It's not the whipcord per se, H has put a waterproof layer (nylon?) underneath it, I think I read somewhere….

I presume the fabric is the same, and thusly I suppose it is likely the color correction/photo editing effect… but the khaki IHM-14 appears to have a more olive tone than the khaki IHM-10, which looks more yellow/golden.  Am I bonkers? Is this wishful thinking?

So the lining is 80% wool 20% alpaca?

I found this information on Japanese websites.

This is together with an UHF.

So the lining and collar are predominantly wool, then? Or are you referring to the interlining? (In the case it is the former that is true, do you know what the interlining is made out of?)
