Thanks @den213.  I actually didn't even realize they were horse until they came today.  It was definitely a nice surprise.

My Viberg aged bark engineer boots should be with me in the next couple of weeks, really excited!
Also nervous with the sizing, hoping they're not too big. 😘

Mr Porter are now stocking natural Chromexcel roughout Hikers, and I like them an awful lot. I'm just not sure how the Thinsulate lining will cope with the Australian summer.

Also, via Styleforum, Maple Co have a Service Boot with a denim tongue, and a side zip.

Service Boot, in a slightly modified pattern, and made from unglazed Sell Cordovan. They're going up for sale at Viberg.com on Friday, and will probably be sold out in a matter of seconds.

I'd be tempted, but the boot is on the 2030 last. I don't entirely get on with this, and the elongated toe lengthens my feet. I'm already a size 13 in their boots, and the extra inch or so it adds isn't necessarily a good look. 😞

Too dressy for my tastes personally. The unglazed shell looks nice, would be a good looking workboot!

Clearly well made but I'm with Broak - a bit too dressy for my tastes

I think they're looking great. And I think 8 eyelets look much better than 7 on Viberg's service boots.

Graeme, you were right, the new shell cordovan derby boot was all gone in the blink of an eye… it does look really stunning.

First pair of engineer boots, Viberg Hopper made with aged bark leather.
These were part of a GMTO through Styleforum and they came out very nicely.
I went with a size 12, the right boot is a little big but I think it will settle with some wear.
Glad to finally have a pair of engineer boots, perfect timing for the fall!

Thanks @Dion , the jeans are my Ooe Yofukuten 1702XX contest jeans. They're coming along nicely!
I think these boots will look better with my slightly straighter legged Roys though.

I am sure some of you guys are aware, but for anyone who's not, there is a GMTO underway over on the Styleforum Viberg board.  (Assume it's okay to post this here..? If not, feel free to take down.)  The main build being discussed is the "Millwright Boot."  It will look like this pic, but with lighter "Crust" cxl (tanned, but not dyed or finished, so fairly matte in apearance).
