Wish the sleeves were 2"-3" longer…but other than that I love the jacket. Great detail with wearing for one day even...can't wait to see the evo. I love waxed cotton.

And is a pretty good deal considering it is BNWT.But I'm not really sure theres much difference between the Vans version and the standard ruck. Maybe slightly taller and a bit different shade of tan?

Visited the Filson store in London yesterday and left with this wonderful jacket:
Although I was originally quite set on a Mack cruiser (their flagship piece), I quickly shifted to the work jacket when I saw it.
Same material (24oz Mackinaw wool) but the pure lines & understated ultra-classic design immediately won me over.
A true work jacket like in the old days and superbly built…! This looks like what a mechanic would have been wearing several decades ago..
Very comfy, reassuringly warm and equally at ease over a T-Shirt or an UHF.
Very happy with it.

Think I might pop in the Filson store here in town. They recently relocated their downtown location to an upscale suburban strip mall in the rich part of town
I have one of their waxed cruiser jackets (which I never wear) and 2 of their cascade flannels which I do like, but they're made in Portugal. Might check out their mesh back trucker hats since we were talking about wanting IH to do one. -

Yes. They relocated to the Galleria in Edina. They also have an outlet in Eagan. I think several businesses got pushed out of the north loop because of developers, or some such thing.

Picked up a twill mesh back hat from Filson yesterday. The storefront was tiny, especially since it’s the flagship store and not the outlet. They had 4 staffers on hand which seemed like overkill for a small shop.
It’s weird to me how some of their stuff is MiUSA and others are not. Their shirts are freaking huge. I could probably fit into a small even though I usually wear large. Kinda liked their vests but need to try before I buy.
