@1fookntitefd you can definitely shrink them that much. Why not hot wash it? That way you'll make sure all the shrinkage is out, it's going to fade the same either way.

Jeans have been soaked and are drying…I'll see how much they shrink first but will probably end up taking your suggestion and doing the hot wash.

Post soak fit pics. Measurements are as now follows:

          W 35.5
          FR 11
          BR 14
          Thigh 12.75
          Knee 8.75
          Hem 8
          Inseam 35

Any thoughts on the fit? Do you guys think I got all the shrinkage out?

A hot wash can't harm but I think 3" shrink in length usually suggests you're there with TFH, as Max says. Happy wearing.

Here are some fit pics post hem. I'm very pleased. I've always wanted a pair of flathead jeans but could never find anything that fit me properly and am very excited to start wearing these. I'm not used to wearing jeans so "light" either. My only qualm is that my recently purchased 666s will probably be taking a back seat to these until it starts getting colder.

Copped a pair of 3009s at SEPDX this weekend; I wasn't able to stay in town long enough to take them home before hemming so they're on the way to Chicago. Super excited to see how much they shrink and plan to post before/after pics as well!

Gave my 3012 a hot two hours soak and lost immediately 2 inches in length, everything else stretched back and even beyond. The Pioneer Denim is incredible!

@Dion, I'm looking at the FH 3012 denim too. I don't suppose you took any raw and washed measurements that you could share? I find the rise of my 3002 a touch too low and constantly find myself pulling the jeans up even when belted up.

@C64 My pre-soak meausurements are on point with the ones provided by Rivet & Hide and Self Edge (I can't find where I noted mine but they're exactly the same):

Mine are a tag 38 and I remember a 2 inches shrinkage in length (there should be more in the future) and ~1 inch in waist after the first hot soak, whereas the waist stretched back quickly and even beyond with wear. If you're looking for some TFH jeans with a higher rise / a roomier top block and a smaller leg opening the 3012 is a very good choice.

Thanks for replying Dion, I'll have to pop down to RnH at some point to take a look at them. Do you find the upper thigh to knee roomy after shrinking i.e. you can pinch some denim or is it snug?

Trying them on prior to pulling the trigger is the best you can do. I've found the thighs to be very generous, I can definitely pinch some of the fabric.

I have a pair of 34W 36L one wash TFH 3009 fit jeans that I can confirm are more 634 than 666
