Smell > taste. Long typical Omnipollo aftertaste (not a fan). Lotsa raspberry. Good stuff.

Figured this was appropriate for season two of The Wire.
-
Hard for me to say; I'll let you know after I've finished watching all five seasons.

Well I have my plans for the weekend lined up. Jester King is hosting a Wicked Weed Texas release party so I'll be grabbing all these beers:
They're also releasing another collaboration that sounds interesting, a Grisette style beer brewed with loquats: http://jesterkingbrewery.com/introducing-jester-king-green-bench-brewing-co-beachtimez-sportzketball
Then after that I plan on heading to Whip In where Real Ale Brewing is going to have a bunch of archived beer releases, including a 6 year vertical of their Sisyphus barleywine (2006-2013), some old anniversary Russian Imperial stouts and a few new beers.
Lots of drinking ahead of me this weekend. ??? -

Wicked Weed is a great brewery. I'm very happy that they're finally coming to Texas.

Lotsa Brett. 11%. Foams like mad. One dimensional and a tad boring.

A few recent purchases-
This was good; a bit of sourness, but not overwhelming, nice flavor.
This was meh. Not much mango flavor, not much flavor of any kind, actually.
I liked this one a lot. Light, but interesting, flavor from the hibiscus. A bit of tartness, just a nice beer. Too bad I didn't grab a couple more bottles when I had the chance. -
Drank this last night, I would love to find some more Speedway Stout variants along the way.
Very pleased with this stout, everything I've had from Alesmith so far has been great.
And here's my haul from Jester King today.
Left to right: WW Oblivion, WW Marina, WW La Bonté with plum, WW/JK Parking Lot (x2), JK x Green Bench Beachtimez Sportsketball (x2), Ranger Creek imperial strawberry milk stout with coconut and vanilla.

Also when I was at the brewery today I saw an Italian brewery called Le Baladin.
My interested was piqued when I saw the Beeradvocate rankings for Lune and Terre which Jester King had for sale.
Then immediately I saw the price tag: $42 dollars!!!
Am I crazy for thinking that this is an insane price for beer? Or is it really that good? -
In my experience, Ranger Creek does a good job of taking ingredients that sound like they'd be terrible together and turning the mess into quality beer. I'll try basically anything they put out.
And $42 is really high, imo. I've had really fantastic beer for a lot less. That better be mind blowing.
