Luggage Bags and Packs
-
I have a Large Travel bag (discontinued now, http://www.ebags.com/product/filson/large-travel-bag/82969) that I used for a few years and you wouldn't know it. The bags will definitely take the abuse. Only issue for me is the weight of the bag (sacrilege on the IH forum I know [emoji3]) as I much prefer a much lighter duffle bag for my travels now.

Porter Yoshida 70th anniversary tiger camo canvas shoulder bag.
Porter are typically known from making their bags out bonded nylon (i.e. Their Tanker series).
Apparently when they started out they made bags out of canvas. So for their 70th anniversary they made these tiger camo bags from cotton canvas, as opposed to their typical nylon. It also features a rather beautiful Waldes zipper and branded Permex snaps.
The Porter stuff is typically excellent crafted and this one is no exception. It was bastard hard to get hold of for a reasonable price as it was released in 2006/07 and, as I understand it, they didn't sell this model outside Japan.
I didn't like the strap it came with though (chocolate brown canvas, not my thing), so I made a custom strap for it (which I also plan to use with my Goruck duffle). Further details on the strap in the craft thread.

Cheers dude. Did your new purchase turn up yet?

No, still in production.
I really dig the non-nylon Porter stuff. Did you see Carryology article on Yoshida Porter. Good read: http://www.carryology.com/bags/the-fabled-craftsmen-of-yoshida-co/

I did! It only enhanced my respect for them.

Carryology have posted a feature on the Bōle Tannery. If you're into craftsmanship, lifetime gear, and all that sort of thing, then you should take a read.
I've long lusted after one of their Prince Rucksacks. They're currently €5000, which explains why I don't have one.

Carryology have a piece about their favourite Japanese brands.
I figured that some people around here might find it interesting.
