Just picked up the "special" pair with the little nick in the fabric.  I thought these seemed like a super great deal for some nice, quality duck work pants.  I am sure they'll get more than their fair share of cuts, scratches and stains in the coming months, so I figured a little starting blemish wouldn't be a problem at all.

We do the 666 in superblack (admittedly with a zipper) - The IH-9666Z

And we are sampling the 816 cut in brown whipcord…

Cuff could use a little cleaning up, but love the 666Ds.  Need to get them tapered and hemmed, but looks and feels great.

Love my Ducks. I think I got them a year ago and they saw lots of wear in the autumn. Took them out of rotation because baby weight, but now that is getting burnt off they're back in. Just had their first wash after maybe 30-40 wears. They have a really nice understated evo.

Wow @neph93 you really fried that patch! They're looking good. I've yet to wash mine. Did you wash inside out in a wash bag on a gentle cycle? Keen not to repeat my white stripes look that I achieved on a pair of much cheaper ducks!

I've stopped babying my IH stuff, it's not like I wear it to church and it's not like IH gear isn't made to take a beating. Same procedure as with all my gear, they were washed in a machine on 40C on a low spin with an old pair of 301's and some shirts. The only special favour I did them was getting them soaked through in the shower beforehand as per IH's own instructions for washing duck. It was a good washing day so they dried outside in the sun.

It's not actually as crispy as it looks in the photo. In fact it's not crispy at all. Where it looks black/dark is actually washed in indigo transfer from my belts. Otherwise there are cosmetic cracks, like I said, only washed on 40C and I'd oiled it a while ago. In my experience, the thick IH patches go that way in the wash. I dig it. I'll chuck some mink oil on it next time I have the mink oil out

About 4 months in and no washes yet. These are getting more wear than anything else right now

Only the wallet fade is that extreme, but I can definitely see some whiskering and combs starting. I'm likely going to really need to wash them by six months, but want to keep pushing for the contrast
