We've done that part of the tour already a couple of time, but never during the Festival and high season. Earlier is easier and later you get more entertaining weather.

OK - after leaving Islay we headed for the Isle of Bute where we stayed in Rothesay.
Again, the weather was great!
The main attraction on Bute is undoubtably Mount Stuart, so we headed over there in the morning to catch the first tour of the house.

For the rest of the day we explored the ruins of an earlier church at the tip of the island.

After returning to Moscow we had a short working week before heading out Helsinki for another long weekend trip.
In Helsinki we arrived just in time for an Italian dinner…
